Andradite, a variety of garnet is common at Franklin and Sterling Hill and can still be collected on the mine dumps here. Here are typical dodecahedral crystals worked out of a pocket of calcite in massive andradite. Specimen is 10 cm in maximum dimension. Smithsonian Institution #116738.
